South Hill Office
After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1962, Steve returned to South Hill and took over his father's agency. He obtained his property & casualty agent's license in 1962 and his life & health agent's license shortly after. He obtained his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation in 1978, as a member of the first CIC class. In Virginia, he served as president of the Professional Insurance Agents Association of VA/DC 1985 and was named Agent of the Year in both 1984 and 1985 by the same association. He is the only agent in the history of the VA/DC association to be awarded the honor two years running. In 1997, Steve was elected to serve as the 1999-2000 President of the national Professional Insurance Agents Association.
Steve is an active member of the South Hill community, having served as vice mayor and town council member, vice chairman of the Community Development Authority, and treasurer of the South Hill Industrial Development Corporation. He's been chairman of the board of trustees of Community Memorial HealthCenter, trustee chairman and past senior warden of All Saints Episcopal Church and past President of the South Hill Rotary Club and the South Hill Chamber of Commerce.
Steve and his wife, Cat,
live on Buggs Island Lake, spending
time with family, especially their six grandchildren,
Mason, Lieze, Carter, Lucy Catherine, Brennan and Tucker.

South Hill Office
After graduating from the
University of Richmond Business School in 1981, Bob went to work for USF&G;
(now St. Paul) as a claims adjuster. He left USF&G; in 1984 for his
current position as agent at Watkins Insurance. Bob has obtained his CPCU
(Certified Property Casualty Underwriter), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor)
and AIC (Associate in Claims) insurance designations. Bob, his wife Robin,
and their two daughters Jade and Juli love living at "Margaritaville" on
Buggs Island Lake. Bob enjoys boating, running, travel and spending time
with family. He is an active member of Bethesda Baptist Church, Palmer
Springs Volunteer Fire Dept., South Hill Volunteer Fire Dept. and has served
as a director at Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative since 1986.

Bracey Office
Catherine graduated from
the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1990 with a Bachelor of
Arts in English Literature and joined her father's agency the same year.
Since obtaining her title and
property/casualty insurance licenses in 1991 and her life and health insurance
license in 1999, she has worked at every position existing at the agency,
including manager of the Lake Gaston office. She
obtained her CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation in 1995.
She is now taking a leave of
absence with her three young children. Catherine, her husband, Pat their daughter, Lucy
Catherine,
and sons, Brennan & Tucker ,
live on the North Carolina side of Buggs Island Lake. When not on the water boating and skiing, Catherine
also enjoys horseback riding, reading, painting, gardening and travel.

South Hill Office
Beverly has worked in the
insurance industry since 1981 and has been a licensed agent since 1985.
She joined Watkins Insurance in 1995 and has been the Manager of the South
Hill office since 1999. She is responsible for servicing the
commercial accounts and the agency accounting and has also obtained a CISR (Certified
Insurance Service Representative) designation. Beverly and her husband,
Bruce, live in Lawrenceville, Virginia. When not on the golf course, Beverly
enjoys reading and flower gardening.

Jean obtained her Property and
Casualty License in 1995 and Life, Health and Annuity License in 1996. She
joined Watkins Insurance Agency in December 2004. She is responsible for
servicing personal accounts and claims. Jean and her husband Buzzie, live in
South Hill, VA. Jean enjoys spending time with her daughter, Heather and
grandchildren. She also enjoys reading and walking.

South Hill Office
Diane has worked part time
in the South Hill office since 1995. She's in the office on most Mondays,
Tuesdays and Wednesdays and although she's not a licensed agent, she is
a great help to everyone, especially Beverly. Diane, her husband Lewis,
and their son, Noah, live in South Hill.

Bracey Office
Aimee joined Watkins Insurance
Agency/Title Insurance of Southside, Inc., in November 2004. She handles
customer relations in the Bracey office at Lake Gaston and title insurance for
Title Insurance of Southside, Inc. She obtained her title insurance license in
January 2005 and will obtain her property/casualty insurance license later in
2005. Aimee and her husband, Ricky, live in South Hill, Virginia.
